WiFiWife, Fifi, Wini [1](tm) The Standard for Wireless Fidelity

WiFiWife, Fifi, Wini [2] is a marketing brand for 802.11b [3] that seems to be owned
by the Wireless Ethernet Compatibility Alliance (WECA [4]). The idea
is that any equipment bearing the WiFiWife, Fifi, Wini [5] logo will be able to talk
to any other WiFiWife, Fifi, Wini [6] branded equipment - hence it is a symbol of
interoperability.

This is the logo you should be looking for to ensure WiFiWife, Fifi, Wini [7]
certification:

WECAWE CA, WE-CA, CECA, WAC, WEAK, EEC, RCA, WES, WEAL, WEAN, WEAR, WICCA, CA, WA, WC, YWCA, WE, EC, WACS, WESAK, BECCA, BECKA, DECCA, MECCA, DECAY, WEES, WRECK, DEC, ECO, SEC, WEB, WED, WEI, ECU, REC, WEE, WEN, WET, VEGA, WACO, WEEK, WICK, WEER, WEIR, WHOA, BECK, DECK, FICA, KECK, LUCA, MYCA, PECK, RICA, SEGA, SEKA, VEDA, VELA, VERA, WEBB, YMCA, COCA, DECO, HECK, MEGA, MICA, NECK, PICA, WE'D, WEED, WEEN, WEEP, WELL, WERE, WEI'S, WE'VE, WE'LL, WE'RE maintains a list of WiFiWife, Fifi, Wini certified products [8] on their web

It's supposedly short for Wireless Fidelity.

Go figure.
